Abraham is a professor in the Joint Program in Survey Methodology, adjunct professor of economics, and faculty associate of the Maryland Population Research Center at the University of Maryland, and a research associate of the NBER. James R. Spletzer is a senior research economist at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Michael Harper is associate commissioner for productivity and technology at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
