Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Gabriel Garcia Marquez was born in Aracataca, Colombia, in 1928. He attended the University of Bogota and later worked as a reporter for the Colombian newspaper El Espectador and as a foreign correspondent in Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Caracas, and New York. In Evil Hour is reissued as one of a complete set of all his novels - The Autumn of the Patriarch, Love in the Time of Cholera, One Hundred Years of Solitude and The General in His Labyrinth. His Collected Stories and Three Novellas are also available. In 1982 Marquez was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. He lives in Mexico City.
