As to grafting, transplanting, pruning, Sic. which are within the province of the gardener, I have purposely omitted.. OVER-FLOWING of Land. This is commonly done by diverting the streams of springs, brooks, rivers, or land-floods, or some part of them out of their natural or original channel; but where the stream lies low, so as to be uncapable of being drawn over the land, the Persian wheel is the best, cheapest, and most proper engine to effect it, provided that there is water sufficient to move it, and enough to spare to water the land designed. All that I shall say upon this head is, that the management of Oxen is a thing so well known, that it is almost needless to mention but the stall feeding them perhaps may not be so generally known, I shall therefore give it from an eminent grazier.
