Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor


David Barlow read medicine at Trinity College, Oxford, and St Thomas's Hospital Medical School. Following training in acute and general medicine, he focused on genitourinary medicine (venereology) and is currently the Senior Physician in this specialty at St Thomas' and Guy's Hospitals.
For the past 20 years he has represented the UK on two European Medical Committees (UEMS and IUSTI Europe) and continues to lecture at international conferences worldwide. Annually since 2000, Dr Barlow has been invited to lecture and teach postgraduate specialist doctors in Sri Lanka.
Most recently his presentations have concentrated on medical areas where the public are misled by the media and commercial and political interests.
In his spare time he relaxes with the musical group, Instant Sunshine.
