James Cunningham is Director of Centre for Innovation and Structural Change at the J.E. Cairns School of Business, National University of Ireland, Galway. He is a senior lecturer in Strategic Management and has received a number of awards for his research including two best paper awards at the British Academy of Management Conferences (2002 and 2005), and a best paper award at the Irish Academy of Management Conference (2003). He is the co editor of Irish Management 2.0 (2008).

Brian Harney is a Research Assistant at Dublin City University. His research interests include HRM in smaller firms, high performance work systems and critical realism.
