The modern engineer needs a good working knowledge of both polymer engineering and metallurgy if he is to be fully effective. This book is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students of engineering and materials science. The second half of the book concentrates on the ways in which these properties can be exploited to produce functional components that fulfil the demands placed upon them in the most effective manner.
