Alexander Bloom is Jane Oxford Keiter Professor of History and American Studies at Wheaton College. He is the author of several books, includingLong Time Gone: Sixties America Then and Now (OUP, 2001) and Prodigal Sons: The New York Intellectuals and Their World(OUP, 1986).

Wini Breines is Professor Emerita of Sociology at Northeastern University. Her books includeThe Trouble Between Us: An Uneasy History of White and Black Women in the Feminist Movement (OUP, 2006) andYoung, White and Miserable: Growing Up Female in the Fifties (2001).
