The use of computers in polymer processing brings many benefits, including an increase in productivity which otherwise could not be achieved. The main aim of this volume is to cover some recent advances made in various areas of polymer processing with specific attention paid to polymer modeling. A major emphasis is given to simulation of kinematics and dynamics of flow processes in various polymer processing operations. This volume will be helpful to those who are engaged in the research and development of polymer processing. The first section summarizes recent advances in modeling of various polymer processing operations. The second section describes some recent efforts in modeling of extrusion processes. The third section is concerned with the finite element simulation of thermoforming and blow molding processes. The fourth section deals with simulation of the injection molding of thermoplastics and rubber compounds.
