This book compares and contrasts different conceptions of working memory. This is one of the most important notions to have informed cognitive psychology over the last 20 years or so. Both the conceptual and methodological basis of the study of working memory relevant to advanced undergraduates, postgraduates, and research workers in the fields of cognition, intellectual development, and cognitive neuropsychology are covered.

Charlotte y Peter Fiell son dos autoridades en historia, teoría y crítica del diseño y han escrito más de sesenta libros sobre la materia, muchos de los cuales se han convertido en éxitos de ventas.
