While aiming principally at cathedral, collegiate and church choirs, such an academically rigorous edition could also provide an excellent teaching resource . . . The layout of the edition is clear and clean and organ parts carry both the original figures and a suggested realisation. (Tom Wiggall, Music Teacher, 1 December 07)

The musical text is clean and clear, and the type neither too large nor too small (how easy that is to take for granted, but how important, as well!). The Preface and Critical Commentary are thorough, and the notes on performance intelligent and clear. This collection provides welcome access to a vibrant moment in Anglican music.
