Paper wrap. Zustand: Good. Set of four volumes. Softcover paper wraps (brown, red, green, blue) with slipcase. Titles: Volume 1 "An Age Like this 1920-1940" (0156186209), Volume 2 "My Country Right or Left 1940-1943" (0156186217), Volume 3 "As I Please 1943-1945" (0156186225), Volume 4 "In Front of Your Nose 1945-1950" (0156186233). Pagination: vol 1 -- xxiii, 574, [1] pp; vol 2 -- xv, 477, [1] pp; vol 3 -- xii, 435, [1] pp; xiii, 555, [1] pp. Illustration: volumes 1 and 2 each contain a b/w photographic frontispiece of Orwell, as well as a b/w reproduction of a page from his diary. Volume 3 contains a b/w reproduction of Orwell's journalism card. Volume 4 contains a b/w photographic frontispiece of Orwell as well as a reproduction of a notebook page. A black star stamp is present on the inside of the back flap of the wrapper. All volumes in similar condition: texts blocks are slightly age toned, and the wrappers are lightly creased/worn. Volume 2 has some sticker residue on the spine. The slipcase (yellow paper over card) is soiled/rubbed and lightly worn, but still strong and square. The set is in good overall condition.
