Paperback. Zustand: Good. Ian Tattersall, primate and evolution expert, searches for the discontinuities in our evolution in a bid to discover what it is that sets us apart from our ancestors. Human creativity is a trait that has developed relatively recently in our long ancestry: Tattersall tries to get to the bottom of this fundamental change firstly by looking at the cognitive gulf between us and our closest living relatives, the great apes, and secondly, by analyzing the fossil and archaeological material left by our ancestors, from the earliest hominids to early species of homo . Written for the general reader with little specialist knowledge of the subject, this is a good general introduction to this puzzling and problematic issue. Artikel-Nr. 00089962092
