Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Born in 1843, Henry James was of Scottish and Irish ancestry. He started writing short stories and reviews for American journals in 1875 and then went on to write some twenty highly influential and popular novels including The Portrait of a Lady andThe Bostonians. He died in 1916. Before retiring, Brian Lee held a fellowship at Harvard, and lectured extensively on American literature around the world.
