Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) was the daughter of Leslie Stephen and sister of Vanessa Bell, with whom she later became part of the 'Bloomsbury group'. She wrote criticism and fiction, including the novels MRS DALLOWAY (1925), TO THE LIGHTHOUSE (1927)and THE WAVES (1931) which were highly experimental Modernist fictions. She drowned herself in 1941.
Alison Light is a Lecturer in English at University College London and is the author of FOREVER ENGLAND (Routledge, 1991)
