Grades 6-8/Ages 11-14. The themes and topics of In The Middle are aligned with current middle school curriculum initiatives that promote understanding of language in context. Themes and language forms are recycled. Every unit integrates listening, speaking, reading and writing and encourages student interactive hands-on activities. Grammatical structures, functions, and vocabulary emerge naturally from the content focus of each lesson - Thus, language develops through meaning and understanding.
