Yvonne Wong Nishio has served the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and adult school counselor over the past 37 years. She has the accumulated experience of teaching all five ESL levels at Evans Community Adult School and was designated a resource/demonstration teacher for the Division of Adult and Career Education (DACE) of LAUSD. Her pioneering work in ESL literacy includes contributions to the ESL Language Model Standards for Adult Education Programs established by the California Department of Education. Her leadership in the field resulted in the writing of the ESL Beginning Literacy Course Outline for LAUSD. In addition to writing, Ms. Nishio shares her expertise in the field of ESL literacy by training tutors at public libraries in the Los Angeles area.

Irene E. Schoenberg has taught ESL for more than two decades at Hunter College's International English Language Institute and at Columbia University's American Language Program. She has trained ESL and EFL teachers at Columbia University's Teachers College and at the New School University. She has given workshops and academic presentations at conferences, English language schools, and universities in Brazil, Chile, Dubai, El Salvador, Guatemala, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Taiwan, Thailand, and throughout the United States.

Ms. Schoenberg is the author of "Talk about Trivia"; "Talk about Values"; "Speaking of Values 1"; "Conversation and Listening;" "Topics from A to Z "Books 1 and 2; and the basic level of "Focus on Grammar," Second Edition. She is the co-author with Jay Maurer of the "True Stories "series and the introductory level of "Focus on Grammar," Third Edition.

Ms. Schoenberg holds a master's degree in TESOL from Columbia University.

Margaret Brooks , Senior Advisor, Business Unit Strategy for the Global Presales Organization and former Vice President, Customer Success, joined CA Technologies in 1999. In the Customer Success organization, she was responsible for the development and vitality of the CA global communities representing a cross section of product and solution communities. This team continues to lead transformation programs to improve customer experience and supports the business requirement for continued enhancements to the online customer experience. In her career at CA Technologies, Brooks has held many executive positions in sales, technical sales, and business development. She has also specialized in governance, risk, and compliance and was involved with thought leadership, publications, and solution development in this area for several years. She published articles in WSTA magazine, KM World, and SC Magazine on the topics of governance, risk, and compliance. She has been nominated for the CEO Award for her contributions in this area. Brooks draws on more than 35 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining CA, she led consulting engagements at the data warehousing division of Platinum Technologies. Before that, she held management positions in data warehousing and information resource management, focusing primarily on companies in the healthcare and insurance areas. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from the University of Alabama.
