The third edition of Community-Oriented Policing: A Systemic Approach to Policing advances our knowledge and understanding from the previous editions, by incorporating the latest research and practice in community-oriented policing. While research in community-oriented policing has proliferated and practical techniques have continually been refined over the past twenty years, Oliver's third edition keeps up with the latest developments to keep the information relative. At the same time, the book continues to provide a balance in presentation between theory and practice, making it useful for professors, students, and police practitioners.
