Benjamin G. Rader is James L. Sellers Professor of History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is co-editor of the Sport and Society Series of the University of Illinois Press. He has recently authored American Ways: A Brief History of American Cultures (2001)and has had articles appear in The Journal of American History, American Quarterly, The Journal of Popular Culture, and The Journal of Sport History.
