Stepping outside of the traditional model of the chapter-by-chapter language text, Quiosco consists of eight “magazines” that simulate various publications and present a wide-range of topics ensuring that students are exposed to contemporary, everyday language in a non-controlling environment. Both formal and informal articles in each magazine are organized by related subjects and lend themselves to the targeted grammar or tenses being studied. The activities in each article encourage students to learn Spanish through the four communicative skills and practice Spanish in an authentic, meaningful way.
