This text presents a comprehensive and critical appraisal of virtually all of the research on schizophrenia, with particular emphasis on the past 10 years. It includes findings in cognitive, psychophysiological, neuropsychological and biochemical research with schizophrenics; genetic studies, studies on environmental factors, high risk research and developmental course on schizophrenia; and samples of risk of developing schizophrenia.
