Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

William F. Lawhead is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy atthe University of Mississippi. He holdsa B.A. in philosophy from Wheaton College (Ill.) and a Ph.D. in philosophy fromthe University of Texas, Austin. He hasbeen teaching philosophy since 1970 and joined the University of Mississippifaculty in 1980, where he taught for 37 years. Besides teaching philosophy at the University of Mississippi, he servedas the chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion for a number of yearsand was a member of the faculty of the Honors College. He received three awards for excellence inteaching and numerous grants for research in the humanities. He has published several textbooks as well asarticles and book chapters on topics in the history of philosophy andphilosophy of religion.  In addition to conference presentations inphilosophy, he has conducted workshops on critical thinking and hypothesis testingfor representatives from various international intelligence agencies.
