William McCarty (La Habra, CA) is an Associate Professor of Information Technology at Azusa Pacific University where he teaches PHP, JavaScript, and Linux Systems/Network Administration. McCarty is a frequent presenter at technical conferences and is a regular columnist for Linux Magazine. He is also the author of several computer books, including Learning Red Hat Linux Networking, Red Hat Certified Engineer Exam Notes, Learning Debian/GNU Linux, and Visual C++ Core Language Little Black Book.
