The Eide text has been a "best seller" in the introductory/freshman engineering market since it came out in 1979. It has always been known for its reliable and principles-based focus. For those instructors who do want Eide's fundamentals approach but desire a shorter text to complement other application specific texts, McGraw-Hill offers the best version of this text as well.
