John Patten ("Pat") Guthrie, AIA, is a Principal of John Pat Guthrie Architects, Inc. of Scottsdale Arizona. A licensed architect in 13 states, he heads a broad-based practice that includes commercial, residential, industrial, medical, and religious facilities and that also specializes in passive solar energy design. Mr. Guthrie is author of the best-selling ArchitectÕs Portable Handbook, published by McGraw-Hill and now in its second edition.
