June mountain secret - Hardcover

Rezensionen

Kindergarten-Grade 3-- A father and his young daughter share a memorable day fishing a remote mountain stream for rainbow trout. They use artificial flies, which the fish can not swallow, as their only bait. This allows them to release the fish unharmed. Panoramic watercolors of the McCloud River in California are as brilliant as the trout found there. Jen and her father, although not as attractively portrayed as the landscape, are environmentally conscious, and will therefore be of interest to readers at a time when so many school projects and assignments are concerned with ecology. --Joan McGrath, Education Centre Library, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
