He conceived and led the 'Thank You Britain' fund in the 1960s, raising £96,000 (well over £1 million in todayÕs terms) within the Jewish refugee community from central Europe, for a scholarship fund and series of annual lectures at the British Academy. The dancer Hildegarde Peiser was Victor Ross' second wife. She was the sister of actress Lilli Palmer, who married to Rex Harrison. Very good indeed in about very good dust jacket.
