Ciberon is about the eponymous, small Javanese Sultanate; the other two are large-format illustrated books: Indonesia, the Last Paradise, and Australia?the Land Downunder. In addition, she has contributed both words and pictures to hundreds of books, magazines, and travel guides. Jill is the editor of Swesone, the small inflight magazine of the Myanmar airline, Yangon Airways. Adventure Guides Southeast Asia The Top 25 Adventure Travel Trips
Adventure Guides Southeast Asia By Motorbike "There can be few more magnificent places on Earth for a motorbiking adventure. From Mae Taeng to Mae Hong Son there are more than 150 hairpin bends, but you will also be treated to spectacular scenery of mountains, forests and waterfalls." By Kayak "Towering limestone rocks burst out of jungles and coastal waters, forming a dramatic backdrop for kayaking. Secret sea lagoons are reached through narrow recesses with jagged walls and over-hung with stalactites. Lie flat against the canoe in places where the cave roof practically scrapes your nose." In Luxury "The Eastern and Oriental Express, the luxury train that plies between Singapore and Bangkok, offers a ride into fantasy?a nostalgic re-creation of the early, gracious days of travel, when style and glamour were just part of the package." By Local Transport "It is difficult to believe in the electronic age when the main forms of transport are bullock carts, bicycles, and ramshackle country buses. On the river banks an assortment of barges, sampans, and bamboo rafts, en route to markets downriver, adds to the colorful congestion." How to have the Adventure of a Lifetime Scuba-Diving in crystal water, Snorkeling for the less adventurous, or, for the really brave, Wreck-Diving in some of the best spots in the world Cruising in style up great rivers, speeding through narrow canyons or, if you feel truly intrepid, White-Water Rafting over mountain rapids Exploring remote jungle and mountain areas only accessible by 4×4, motorbikes, or the more traditional transport?elephant Trekking, Sea-Kayaking, Cycling or taking the Train?any of these may lead you to secret caves, remote tribespeople, or a national park hiding rare animals Challenge Rating
