Michael Morpurgo OBE is one of Britain's best loved writers for children, with sales of over 35 million copies. He has written over 150 books, has served as Children’s Laureate, and has won many prizes, including the Smarties Prize, the Writers Guild Award, the Whitbread Award, the Blue Peter Book Award and the Eleanor Farjeon Lifetime Achievement Award. With his wife, Clare, he is the co-founder of Farms for City Children. Michael was knighted in 2018 for services to literature and charity.

Michael Foreman is one of the world’s best-loved children’s book illustrators. He has written and illustrated a vast range of books and has collaborated with many leading children’s authors including Michael Morpurgo and Terry Jones. His own books include the classics War Boy and War Game, winners of the Kate Greenaway Award and Smarties Book Prize respectively.

Antonito lives an idyllic life on his parent's bull farm in Andalucia, Spain. But the idyll is shattered when he realises that his beloved bull calf, Paco, is destined for the bloody struggle of the bullring. What can he do?
