"La biennale 2007 non sarà la mostra di un curatore che impone il suo punto di vista ma un momento in cui far emergere idee dall'arte stessa per discuterle con un pubblico sempre più vasto. Non sarà perciò un momento di sintesi di un periodo ma esprimerà il presente anche utilizzando l'opera di autori prematuramente scomparsi ma ancora vivi quanto a influenza e sensibilità trasmessa all'opera di altri. Dalla mia Biennale di Venezia non uscirà nessuna dichiarazione filosofica, politica, come è accaduto in alcune edizioni recenti. Io non penso che le opere d'arte possano servire per illustrare un'idea". (Robert Storr)
Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Director of Visual Arts, Robert Storr, is an American artist and art critic. In 1990 he was nominated Curator of the Dept of Paintings and Sculpture at MoMA, New York, and in 2002 Senior Curator. In 2003 he was made Rosalie Solow Professor of Modern Art at the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University. His many published works include Modern Art Despite Modernism.
