Biografía del autor:
Dr.N.Nagaraja did his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Zoology specializing in Apiculture from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India. He has 10 years of teaching and 14 years of research experience in the field of Apiculture. He has published more than 30 research papers in reputed national and international journals and is the author of a book Apiculture. He has presented research papers on different aspects of bees and beekeeping in national and international conferences in India and abroad. He is recipient of Young Scientist Award for best research paper presentation. He has research collaboration in Apiculture with many Universities/Institutions in India and abroad. Currently he is Lecturer at the UGC Academic Staff College, Bangalore Unviersity, Bangalore, India. Dr.D. Rajagopal obtained his M.Sc. (Agri) and Ph.D in Agricultural Entomology with distinction and a gold medal from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. He obtained higher postgraduate training in Soil Biology and Ecology at Nigeria and England Under FAO and UNDP Fellowship. He has 36 years of teaching, research and extension experience and has served in various capacities. He is recipient of several prestigious awards including Jawaharlal Nehru Award, ICAR Best Teacher Award Karnataka State Environmental Award, Dr. M. Puttarudraiah Memorial Endowment National Award, etc. He has guided 10 doctoral and 15 Masters degree students in Agricultural Entomology and Apiculture. He has visited 16 countries for various academic purposes. He was the principal investigator of 16 research projects and has participated 65 national and 21 international conferences. He has published over 360 papers and 8 books, He served as the founder Editor of journal of Soil Biology and Ecology and is currently working as Chief Editor of Indian Bee Journal and Founder President of Centre for Rural Development and Applied Research, Bangalore.
