En este libro, el reconocido medico Arnoldo Kraus desmenuza el dolor en sus diversas manifestaciones y explica como desde su optica se puede redefinir la existencia y afrontar la muerte.

Arnoldo Kraus nos entrega un ensayo luminoso cuyo hilo conductor es el dolor y el aprendizaje vital que deriva de sus multiples experiencias. Saberse ulnerable y adentrarse en la nada son atributos de lo que el autor llama la escuela del dolor. Aunque no existe propiamente una escuela del dolor, pensar el mundo a partir del cuerpo lastimado, cavilar en el llanto de la tierra y vincular ambos eventos con los sucesos de los otros, dice el autor, son pilares de esa hipotetica pero necesaria escuela.
