Críticas:
This book represents an important contribution to the study of the social and political aspects of the Arab minority in Israel. Based on extensive, well documented and comprehensive archival work, the book sheds innovative light on a yet unexplored area of research. (Elie Rekhess, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow, The Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies, Tel-Aviv University) Sociologists, historians, and educators will find this scholarly well-written study instructive in helping to understand problems that are of a universal nature. (Harry A. Passaw, The Jacob H. Schiff Professor Emeritus of Education, Teachers College, Columbia University) This work illustrates how a school can provide an education based upon human principles for all of its children, even within the tumult of conflict in the surrounding world. It is a marvelous tale, told well and all the better because it is real, a living story. (Henry M. Levin, Professor of Education and Director of the Center for Educational Research (SERAS) at Stanford University) This is an enlightening rare study of a school which belongs to a three centuries old international Roman Catholic teaching congregation, Brothers of the Christian Schools (De La Salle Brothers). It provides insights into the functioning and impact of such schools which belong to a world-wide system. (Brother Gerard Rummery, Ph.D., councillor to the Superior General, Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Rome)
