Lucy Thomas specializes in Welsh women’s writing and has published work on Hilda Vaughan, Allen Raine and Margiad Evans. She previously taught at Cardiff University and now works at the Welsh Books Council. Hilda Vaughan (1892-1985) was born in Builth Wells and lived both in Wales and London. She published ten novels and a novella 'A Thing of Nought' which is regarded as her best work and has been reprinted as part of the Welsh Women’s Classics series inA View Across the Valley.
