No Retreat: A True Story of Loyalty, Courage and Dunkirk - Softcover

Chris Coley was born in Birmingham. After studying Art he worked as a graphic designer before joining the teaching profession in 1994 eventually becoming the Headteacher of a secondary school. He was inspired to write his first novel, Amber Wolfe and the Shifters, by the courage and determination of his own profoundly deaf daughter. Since completing that work he has gone on to write The Daisy Chain, a murder mystery, Dead Head, a novel set in a school and No Retreat, a true story of a soldier at Dunkirk in 1940.

The Rescue of British, French and other allied troops from the northern beaches of France in 1940 in Dunkirk is now stuff of legend. The operation resulted in a total of 338,226 men being saved between 26th May and 4th June. Nearly one thousand ships and small craft were used in the evacuation. This is the true tale of courage, love and devotion of Wallace Moxon who lost his life defending the advancing German war machine.
