Reseña del editor:
The book is by Cap'n Jimbo, a Springer Spaniel (dog) and a member of the AKC (American Kennel Club). The story was told to Roger Chapman. Jimbo lived with Roger and his wife, Marie, for 14 years. The humorous story explores the important role that Jimbo played in his family's life. Jimbo's friends had a taught him about the great outdoors. He loved to sail with his family. In fact, he became a very good sailor. He also loved to hike and take walks on the beach. At one time Jimbo sired a liter of puppies. There's a funny photo of him with a big grin. Jimbo loved to go trick or treating on Holloween and people gave him him dog biscuits and cookies. He also loved to ride in Marie's MG.
Biografía del autor:
Cap'n Jimbo Chapman, AKC (American Kennel Club), was a happy white and brown English Springer Spaniel who lived with Roger Chapman and his wife, Marie, for 14 years. He brought them great joy and laughter. Because he was a bit computer illiterate, Roger agreed to type his manuscript.Roger B. Chapman, born in 1924, was raised and educated in New England. He started school in Dana, a tiny sawmill town in western Massachusetts. In the late 1930s the town succumbed to the advent of the Quabbin Reservoir, Boston's water supply. The family moved to Springfield, MA, where he continued his education until he joined the U.S. Army Air Force in 1943. After WWII he became a civilian field engineer assigned to the Armed Forces. For 6 months in 1954, he was assigned to the Quonset Point Naval Air Station, and continued working there until 1974, when the station closed. Living on the shores of Narragansett Bay became a way of life for him and Marie. A transfer was out of the question. L
