Matthew gets to Heaven believing his life was a complete loser: failed musician career in spite of a very promising start, failed marriage, no relationship with his child, ruined parents - he just made a complete mess of everything and barely survives as a musician in the London tube where he eventually gets murdered at the age of 27.
