This could not be applied to the author who has never been known to pass up the opportunity for a witty and amusing anecdote. And so it is with this book, a compilation of hilarious vignettes of life in the pursuit of point scoring in the construction industry. All the characters are fictitious although it seems that I knew every one of them. So it is with all the situations. I read the text in one sitting and I am sure that many more than just civil engineers will find that they can't put it down.
