Pickles and the P-Flock Bullies is a book written with beautiful detail and imagery that your students will find themselves both relating to and enjoying.
ElementarySchoolCounseling.org This is such a lovely little book and covers such an important topic. Bullying is a very real thing in schools, and as my kids get older, I need to prepare them for situations in which they may face bullies or see others bullying someone.
Pickles and the P-Flock Bullies is a really good way to introduce the topic in an easy way. In addition to having an important message, the book has lovely illustrations... This is a nice book from one of my favorite pairs of authors/illustrators and would be a lovely addition to any child's home library!
Growing My Kids Reviews
This story about bullying is from the author and illustrator duo of the best-selling Serendipity books. Pickles, a young Orca whale, is born with green patches instead of white. Her only friend is a harbor seal named Stitches. When the P Flock, a nasty group of seagulls, starts to pick on Stitches, Pickles discovers how deep and hurtful bullying can be. Bullying is a high-profile national topic, and this beautifully illustrated and engaging book will help parents, grandparents, educators, and other adults engage young readers in this discussion.
