Printed in an edition limited to 1950 numbered copies, of which this is out of series. Translated by Christopher Collins. Designed and produced in Switzerland by Max Caflisch. Fabag of Winterthur printed the text in Van Dijck Roman typeface on Zerkall paper and reproduced 16 of the 17 aquatints in three colors. The Swiss graphic artist, Felix Hoffmann, created the illustrations especially for this edition--after a trip to the Greek Isles--and the frontispiece has been struck directly from the copperplate.

With 21 full-page color etchings (including 6 uncolored, a few with sepia) by Susan Allix, signed in pencil . 91 (1) pp., 2 leaves. 4to. Full light brown morocco tooled and painted to an abstract design with double fillet in blue and yellow, both covers with abstract designs in blue, brown, black, yellow and orange and blind-stamped shapes. In quarter morocco box with an octagona glass window set into the top cover to reveal the binding (by Allix).
