The career of Charles Buckles Falls spanned sixty-five years, through the first half of the twentieth century. He was repeatedly honored by his profession. While his work was of high caliber and well-known within his profession, he did not enjoy the rare public fanfare of a Charles Dana Gibson or James Montgomery Flagg. In addition, much of his art is signed with only a small solid square or an initial F, making identification of his work difficult for the uninformed. His wife preserved the artist's personal archive of sketches, proofs, scrapbooks, and samples; these are the basis for this booklet and the exhibition of his works that was held in 1982. SIGNED BY AUTHOR on half-title: "Wayne G. Hammond. " ; 7 x 10"; 32 pages.
