Hardcover. 221pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Blue cloth covered boards with a silver stamped title on the spine. Very good. The spine ends and edges of the covers are very gently bumped and rubbed. The covers are a bit concave. The top edge of the text block is darkened and has a couple of stains. The other edges of the text block have numerous barely perceptible stains. Subtly tanned pages. The top corners of the pages are very lightly bumped. In a very good dust jacket. Mildly age-toned and rubbed. There are a handful of small chips in the edges. The largest chip is in the paper at the head of the spine, and measures 1/4 inch deep. The spine is faded. The spine of the jacket has a couple of light damp stains. The largest moisture stain is 2 inches tall by 1 inch wide. Price-clipped. Publications of the American Folklore Society Memoir Series Volume 53, 1968. From the dust jacket- "Native Mormon folksong, like much native American balladry, is most frequently based on historical fact and often presents a surprisingly accurate account of dramatic events.".
