[Poetry] OXFORD EDITION. Octavo (19 x 14cm), pp.viii; 668. With a halftone frontispiece portrait of Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Publisher's quarter vellum, red cloth over sides. Spine with gilt-lettered red label and floral designs in gilt and red. Top edge gilt. Original bookmarking ribbon still intact. Endpapers and textblock edges toned and lightly foxed. Light pencil annotations throughout. Some gentle wear to vellum and cloth extremities. Very good. A beautiful collection of Barrett-Browning's poems, and a small book-history gem; the imprint mentions Henry Frowde, who was OUP publisher from 1883 to 1913 and expanded its offices greatly, for example - by introducing the highly economical India paper to the bindery and overseeing the production of Oxford's Revised New Testament (1881).
