Cloth. Zustand: Very Good Indeed. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. None (illustrator). An early edition of this crime novel by the Queen of this genre, Agatha Christie. This novel features Christie's well known Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, and the mystery novelist Ariadne Oliver. The novel is notable for its wit and comic detail. This is the first significant appearance of Ariadne Oliver. Agatha Christie is one of the most prolific crime writers of the twentieth century. Her work consists of 66 detective novels, 150 short stories and 19 plays; she is the writer of the world's longest running play, The Mousetrap which has been on stage since 1952. Christie is also one of the bestselling novelists of all time and her works rank highly in the most-widely published books. In the publisher's original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart. Light shelfwear to the head and tail of spine. Dust wrapper is generally smart. Small loss to the head of spine. Light chips to the tail of spine. Small tear to the front joint. Light spots internally to the wrapper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned. A few light spots to pages. Very Good Indeed. book.
