With fifty-seven black-and-white illustrations documenting Vigo's life and films, testaments from twelve friends and colleagues (including Boris Kaufman and Jean PainlevÈ), thirteen reviews and essays from four decades (by Siegfried Kracauer and James Agee, among others), fifteen pages of the filmmaker's writings, and a filmography. Wrappers lightly sunned and soiled, with a tiny chip at the crown of the spine, otherwise very good.

Sinon ouvrage en excellent état. Giovanni da Vigo (1450-1525), Jean de Vigo en français, célèbre chirurgien de Gênes, a laissé sa marque en médecine militaire. Il est également le premier médecin italien à étudier la Syphillis (De morbo gallico, début au v. du f.clxxix), c'est à lui que l'on doit le 1er traitement "efficace" de la maladie à base de dioxyde de mercure.
