Original costume illustration by costume designer Theoni V. Aldredge for the 1974 film. Costume design for actor Lois Chiles who played Jordan Baker, with "Lois Chiles / The Great Gatsby / Theoni V. Aldredge" and a label printed with "N.B. Model" on the upper right. Aldredge won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the 1974 film. One of the most honored costume designers on Broadway, as well as film and television, Aldridge won three Tony Awards for "Annie" (1977), "Barnum" (1980), and "La Cage aux Folles" (1983), as well as eleven other Tony nominations. As well as winning the Academy Award for the 1974 film, Aldredge also won a British Academy Award for the film, and her designs for the film were adapted for an exclusive clothing line with Bloomingdale's in Manhattan.
