Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. First edition. Introduction by Booth Tarkington. Frontispiece by Neysa McMein. Illustrated with black and white photographic plates. Chipping at corners, tiny stains on boards with a toned spine, very good. The first book for both authors, a clever comedy about a woman who tries to advance her husband's career by organizing a disastrous dinner party. The original New York production featured Lynn Fontanne in the title role. Filmed several times, first by Sidney Franklin in 1923 with Constance Talmadge in the title role, then remade in 1930 as *Not So Dumb*, a talkie with Marion Davies, William Holden, and Donald Ogden Stewart, and later in 1940 by W. Sylvan Simon with Ann Sothern.

Buch
Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - On April 8-9, 1994, a symposium entitled Control of the Cardiovascular and Respiratory Systems in Health and Disease was held at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. The purpose of this symposium was to honor the careers of Professors Hazel M. and John C. G. Coleridge. Participants in this symposium came from throughout the world. Their attendance at the symposium was a symbol of great respect and affection for the honorees. The Professors Coleridge have made many important contribu tions to the scientific literature concerning neural control of the cardiovascular and respira tory systems. In addition, they have made remarkable contributions to the lives of other scientists working in this field of investigation. Some of us have known them as mentors, counselors, friends, and supervisors; others have known them as co-investigators. Most importantly, all of us have known them as friends. This book, which contains the proceedings of the symposium, is dedicated to Hazel and John Coleridge. C. T. Kappagoda M. P. Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Second printing. Two pages in the middle of the text are darkened where a parody newspaper was tipped-in and is now partially lacking, as usual with this title, some chipping to the bottom of the paper spine label, about very good lacking the dustwrapper. This copy is Inscribed by Connelly to a Broadway producer: "To Sidley Brown, Who gave me another automobile. Marc Connelly, Christmas, 1925." A splendid association. Basis for the 1925 James Cruze film featuring Edward Everett Horton, famous for its fantastic, surrealistic dream sequence, reminiscent of German cinema of the time but unlike anything else produced in America in that era.

Complete with frontispiece by Neysa McMein and four full-page photographic illustrations. Previous ownership notation on front free endpaper, note in pen opposite copyright page, otherwise a near fine example, solid text block. Adams.".
