In this joyful book for ramblers, Langford describes pleasant walking spots and shares the feelings which they inspire when he visits them. Includes sections on Edgehill, Clent Hills, the Dales of Derbyshire, Kenilworth, and Clifton. There are several clusters of untrimmed pages. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of front endpaper, 'John J. Reid', dated February 1871. With a library date stamp to the same page, dated 12th November 1929. Sticker from London Binders Westley & Co to the rear pastedown. Undated. Dated using JISC from estimations of the British Library. In a blue cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Bumped to the head and tail of the spine with three closed tears to the head, and one to the tail. A little rubbed to the joints, with some moderate wear towards the extremities. The front hinge is starting, but firm. Pages are lightly age-toned but clean throughout. Very Good. book.
