Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. Hardback. Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 199. Original publishers black cloth, lettered gilt at the spine. This is the story of a young man struggling to find his feet in an adult world. First edition, first impression, certainly uncommon, particularly so in the jacket. Ward (1910-1969), actor, playwright, broadcaster and author, was a founder and director of both the Century and Adelphi theatres, who "achieved some recognition through two particular books, both published by Gollancz. One, Gallery of Mirrors, is an autobiographical reflection upon his life, whilst A Drug Taker's Notes is an account of his experiments with LSD. His experiments and account of that hallucinogenic drug preceded Huxley's better-known Doors of Perception" (Billingham, p. 143); his papers are held at the Harry Ransom Center, University of Texas. Faint foxing to edges, otherwise about fine in lightly foxed, very good indeed dust jacket, with faint toning at spine.

Verlag: Standing Council of the Baronetage London. or 1910. Henry Good & Son London E.C, 1909
Anbieter: Richard M. Ford Ltd, London, Vereinigtes Königreich
9pp, 4to. In fair condition, on lightly-aged paper; with central horizontal fold. A main topic of the meeting was, as Sir Lambton Loraine explained, the assertion by the Duke of Norfolk of his 'right to a jurisdiction over the Baronetage in every way', and his belief that he has 'a right to keep our record at his own house in St. James's Square, whereas we have not yet got the King's answer to the Home Secretary's Committee's proposal that a person appointed by the Home Office should be the future Registrar of the Roll of the Baronetage'. Another matter discussed was 'whether the title "Baronet" should be on one's card'. From the papers of Sir Richard Harington, 11th Baronet, who has written at top-right of the title-page: 'Read 15 June 1910'. Scarce: no other copy found, either on OCLC WorldCat, or on COPAC.
