Manuskript / Papierantiquität
Final Draft script for the 1981 film, with manuscript ink and pencil annotations on three pages. Handwritten note on page 55 reading, "Tim - you're the soldier," almost certainly referring to actor Timothy Busfield, who played a soldier in the scene. Bill Murray stars as the irresponsible John Winger, a New York cabbie, who, after losing his job, apartment, and girlfriend, impulsively convinces his best friend, an apathetic English teacher played by screenwriter Harold Ramis, to join the army with him for a bit of fun and exercise. Shot on location in Louisville, Kentucky and Los Angeles, California. Lacking front wrapper, title page present, dated October 8, 1980, noted as Final Script, with credits for screenwriters Len Blum, Dan Goldberg and Harold Ramis, and story by Ivan Reitman. 126 leaves, with last page of text numbered 121. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with blue, pink, yellow, and green revision pages throughout, dated variously between 10/8/80 and 10/28/80. Pages Near Fine, bound with two gold brads.
