Second edition. 59pp. Octavo [22.5 cm] Stapled tan and black pictorial wrappers. Very good. The wraps are a bit darkened, there are a handful of small chips along the edges of the wraps, and there is a 1" closed tear in the paper at the head of the spine, along the fold. Flake/Draper 3553. Illustrated by nine full-page and five half-page engravings from photographs taken on the ground. Written by the author of "Lights and Shadows of Mormonism." A sensationalized account of the Massacre at Mountain Meadows. Cover photograph is of the "Graves of One Hundred and Thirty Emigrants - Victims of Mormon Blood Atonement at Mountain Meadows, September 16th, 1857.".
